The Team
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who combines strong hands-on engineering with the ability to collaborate across engineering, QA, and product management teams.
You will join a collaborative, fast-moving team of software engineers who own the full lifecycle of application development — from design through implementation and deployment. We move quickly and hold a high bar for code quality and system design. Engineers here work on meaningful problems across backend services, frontend experiences, and data integration.
Performance Objectives
Contribute as a senior member of the software engineering team, collaborating to deliver on priorities developed in conjunction with the product management group.
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Node.js/Express.
Develop and maintain responsive front-end applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, and React.js, including geospatial visualization features built with OpenLayers.
Interact with supporting data systems, including SQL Server, MongoDB, and BigQuery to support scalable, high-performance applications.
Competitive Candidate Profile
Strong backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Apache Struts.
Frontend development experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, or React.js.
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitHub.
Experience working with SQL Server, MongoDB, and/or BigQuery.
Skills that stand out
Experience with legacy Java frameworks such as Apache Struts, and modernizing them onto current stacks.
Experience building geospatial or mapping features with OpenLayers or similar libraries.
Knowledge of Kubernetes or ArgoCD for infrastructure and deployment automation.
Background in energy or geoscience domain applications.
